Privacy Notice
This notice explains how F-Gas 1 Training Services uses personal information when you visit the website or make an enquiry.
1. Who is responsible
F-Gas 1 Training Services is operated by John Boyle, who is responsible for deciding how enquiry information is used. For a privacy question or rights request, use the website enquiry form and mark your message “Privacy”.
2. Information collected
The form asks for your name, email address and message; company and telephone number are optional. Cloudflare Turnstile and hosting security may also process a verification token, IP address, browser and request information to check that a submission is genuine and protect the site from abuse.
3. How information is used and our legal bases
- To respond to an enquiry and take steps you request before a possible service agreement (pre-contractual steps).
- To arrange and deliver an agreed service and keep necessary engagement records (contract and, where relevant, legal obligations).
- To protect the website and prevent abusive submissions (legitimate interests in operating a secure enquiry service).
Enquiry information is not used to send marketing unless you separately ask to receive it.
4. The contact form and email
Form submissions are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, processed by a Cloudflare Worker and Cloudflare Email Service, and delivered to the F-Gas 1 Training Services mailbox hosted by Microsoft 365. The visitor’s email address is used as the reply-to address so John can respond. The address is not displayed on the website.
5. Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare provides website hosting, security verification and email delivery; Microsoft provides the receiving mailbox. These providers process information to provide their services and may process it in other countries. Their privacy and data-protection information explains applicable safeguards: Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement.
6. How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are normally deleted within 12 months after the last contact. Information relating to an engagement is kept only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet applicable contractual, qualification, accounting, safety or legal record-keeping requirements. Security records are kept for the period needed to investigate and prevent abuse.
7. Your rights
Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to restrict or stop certain uses. You may also have a right to data portability. To exercise a right, use the website enquiry form and identify it as a privacy request. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
8. Cookies and analytics
Necessary site functions and Cloudflare Turnstile security checks operate when you use the website. Optional Google Analytics is loaded only if you select “Allow analytics” in the privacy choices banner. If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Your choice is stored in this browser so the banner does not reappear on every page.
If enabled, Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to measure page views, scrolling, outbound link clicks and general website usage. It may process online identifiers, device and browser details, approximate location and information about how you reached and use the site. We do not send contact form fields, message contents or your email address to Google Analytics. Advertising features and advertising personalisation are disabled.
Analytics is used to understand and improve the website, based on your consent. Google acts as a service provider for this measurement and may process data outside the UK subject to its applicable safeguards. Google may retain Analytics data for up to 14 months. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
